Oh Christmas Tree!
What happened to November?
I seriously have no idea what happened to November!! I guess having a newborn in the house REALLY does mess with the schedule. We were busy! We had house guests, another post placement visit for Luke's adoption, lots of dinner parties and then celebrated Thanksgiving with our dear friends the Cabrals. Anyway...now that we are half way into December I hope to update the blog more often!!

Trick or Treat
Matthew (Firefighter) and Luke (Spot - the Firefighter's dalmation) had a great time trick or treating around the plaza downtown. ALL the merchants were dressed up and passed out candy. Matthew scored WAY TOO MUCH candy. Poor little Luke was mistaken as a COW by EVERYONE who saw him. We had a great time - even though LUKE was screaming for the pictures!
PUMPKIN carving contest!
The winners? Matthew and Dave! Our dear friend/nanny/supergal JULIE joined us for pizza night and pumpkin carving. We had GREAT fun and Matthew LOVED carving the winning pumpkin with his Daddy.
1st Post Placement Visit
On Thursday our wonderful social worker, Heidi, made her first post placement visit today! She's amazing and it was great for Matthew to get to see her again and show off his little brother. We have three more visits before February and then ALL paperwork can be submitted to the judge. Upon final ruling LUKE will officially be a HARDIN!

Flower Bulbs and Carmel Apples
Our Tuesday consisted of Mr. Matt going to preschool (which he loves!). After school we planted bulbs and made carmel apples. It was an awesome way to spend the afternoon enjoying our Fall weather and Matthew LOVED being able to plant the bulbs and then water them with his very own watering can. HOPEFULLY, our home will be filled with wonderful flowers this Christmas. Then we made carmel apples which were so YUMMY. Matthew thought it was funny when the carmel would stick to his teeth. Sweet little Luke, of course, was very helpful during all this activity by taking his pre-dinner nap.
Welcome
